Terror in Tirah Valley: Refusing Bread, Paying in Blood

Tirah Valley, Fitna al-Khawarij, Terror, Twisted Ideology of Khawarij, PTM

A horrifying incident unfolded in the Kamar Khel area of Tirah valley when armed terrorists of the banned TTP, or Fitna al-Khawarij as declared by the state, attacked a local household for refusing them food. The attackers, reportedly seeking shelter and sustenance, responded with bullets when the family declined their demand.

In the brutal assault, a woman, the wife of local resident Yar Wali, was shot and seriously wounded. The unprovoked attack has sent waves of fear and anger through the community, as once again, innocent civilians are being terrorised for refusing to cooperate with violent extremists.

Locals expressed outrage, not just at the savagery of the act, but also at the silence of so-called human rights groups and political organisations like PTM, which have so far failed to condemn this inhumane act. “Where are the voices now? A woman was shot just for refusing bread. Is this the ‘freedom’ they stand for?” asked one resident, demanding accountability from all quarters.

This latest act of violence has further unmasked the twisted ideology of the khawarij, an ideology that labels savagery as jihad, targets the very people it claims to protect, and considers basic human decency a threat to its existence. In reality, these are not acts of religious zeal, but of sheer cowardice and cruelty.

Security forces have vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice, with search operations already underway in the rugged terrain of Tirah.

It’s worth mentioning that earlier Today, during the operations across the tribal regions, Pakistan’s security forces struck back hard. In successful intelligence-based operations, eight khawarij were eliminated in both North Waziristan and South Waziristan. These precise strikes demonstrate Pakistan’s renewed resolve to eradicate terrorism in all its forms.

Just an hour, or two earlier, five security personnel were martyred and four injured in a deadly ambush in Kurram’s Manato area, yet another reminder of the cost being paid in the fight to secure peace. Despite the losses, the resolve of Pakistan’s forces remains unshaken: the khawarij will be defeated, and the sacrifices of both civilians and soldiers will not be in vain.
