Security Forces have eliminated three terrorists during an operation in Ama Khel area of Tank district as part of the ongoing Operation 11 Garaj.
According to initial information, the operation was conducted after receiving intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists in the area. During the action, security forces effectively engaged the terrorists, resulting in the elimination of three terrorists.
A facilitator linked to the terrorist network was also arrested during the operation.
Security sources said a significant quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosive material was recovered from the terrorists’ possession. The recovered material, including improvised explosive device-related items, was later secured and destroyed by the security teams.
The operation also led to the disruption of a terrorist hideout being used for carrying out activities against security forces and civilians.
Security forces have intensified intelligence-based operations in Tank and other districts of southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to prevent terrorist networks from establishing footholds and carrying out attacks.
The latest action comes as part of continued efforts to eliminate terrorist elements, dismantle their support structures and deny them the ability to operate in the region.
Operations under Operation 11 Garaj are continuing, with security forces maintaining focus on intelligence-driven actions against terrorist networks and their facilitators.
