A terror attack attempt on the Spin Post in South Waziristan by terrorists affiliated with a banned organisation was thwarted in time by security forces, officials confirmed. The swift response prevented potential casualties and damage in what could have escalated into a deadly confrontation.

In the aftermath of the foiled assault, a local Wing Commander held a high-level meeting with elders of the Dotani tribe and Sherkhani village, issuing a clear and uncompromising warning.

The commander stated that any individual or group found supporting or connected to terrorists will face prosecution under the Anti-Terrorism Act (7 ATA) and may also face forcible expulsion from the area.

He also emphasized that if militants attempt to use civilians as human shields during future operations, any resulting loss of life or property will not be the responsibility of the security forces.

“Our mission is clear,” said one security official present during the meeting. “The support base for terrorists must collapse, and that can only happen if locals reject them outright.”

A similar warning had also been issued during a jirga held in Shaktoi on August 5, where it was clearly stated that if militants attempt to use civilians as human shields in future operations, the responsibility for any resulting casualties or damage will not lie with the security forces.
