A terror attack on a Frontier Corps (FC) checkpoint in Bannu was successfully thwarted on Sunday, resulting in the death of two khawarij during a swift retaliatory response.
According to initial reports, the incident occurred in the Dara Ghwanderi area, where unidentified terrorists opened fire on the FC post. FC personnel responded immediately and effectively, killing two assailants on the spot, while the remaining attackers fled the scene.
Following the attack, police and FC forces cordoned off the area and launched a comprehensive search operation to track down the fleeing suspects. No casualties were reported among the security personnel.
