Tehran Rocked by Israeli Strikes Following U.S Warning, Civilian Targets Hit

A fresh wave of Israeli airstrikes jolted the Iranian capital early morning, triggering a series of loud explosions across Tehran and signaling a dramatic escalation in the shadow war between the two regional powers. Iranian air defense systems were swiftly activated as blasts echoed through the city’s eastern and southeastern districts, as well as the southwestern city of Ahvaz in Khuzestan province.

State-run Iranian media confirmed that “powerful explosions” were heard across Tehran shortly before dawn, while Israeli outlets reported coordinated strikes targeting critical zones in eastern and southeastern Tehran. Simultaneously, several explosions were reported in Ahvaz, a strategically significant city near the Iraqi border.

The latest assault came mere hours after U.S. President Donald Trump issued a pointed warning on Truth Social, urging civilians to evacuate Tehran immediately. Trump declared that Iran would “never be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons” and accused Tehran of making a “grave mistake” by refusing to rejoin the nuclear deal.

This morning’s attacks followed Sunday’s aggressive Israeli strikes, during which hospitals, highways, and civilian infrastructure were targeted following evacuation advisories. Notable targets included Tehran’s Qom Highway, Savah Highway, a hospital in Kermanshah, and a fire station in Elam. Civilian injuries were reported from multiple districts in eastern and western Tehran.

In a bold assertion late Sunday, Israeli military sources claimed their forces had destroyed approximately one-third of Iran’s missile launch infrastructure and established “full operational control” over Tehran’s airspace.

Iran, however, has dismissed these claims as “propaganda and fantasy.” In a sharply worded response, Iranian authorities warned Tel Aviv residents to evacuate areas near military and defense facilities, hinting at imminent retaliatory action.

As tensions spiral and the threat of broader regional conflict looms, international observers have raised alarms over the rapidly deteriorating situation. The unfolding military confrontation between Israel and Iran now stands at its most volatile point in years, with civilian populations and critical infrastructure increasingly caught in the crossfire.
