Minister of State Talal Chaudhry, speaking to media representatives, said forensic examination of the suicide bomber’s body parts has confirmed his identity in the Tarlai mosque attack case.

He revealed that the attacker had traveled to Afghanistan multiple times, with his travel history indicating Afghan links and alleged training there. Chaudhry further claimed that the perpetrators were backed by Afghanistan and India, adding that neighboring countries were involved in sponsoring terrorism inside Pakistan.

The minister also alleged that India had increased funding for terrorist activities in Pakistan by threefold, warning that cross‑border support continues to fuel attacks targeting civilians and soft sites, including mosques, educational institutions, and banks. He described the assault as the height of cowardice.

Among those martyred in the attack, he noted, were a cousin of the Islamabad Inspector General and an inspector from Gilgit Police.

The development follows the earlier condemnation issued by the Qaumi Paigham Aman Committee, which termed the attack an assault on worshippers, national unity, and religious values, and called for collective resolve against terrorism.
