At least four people were killed in a suicide bombing that struck a busy taxi stand near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Chaman earlier today.
According to initial reports, the attacker detonated explosives in a crowded area near the city’s bus stand, leaving several others critically injured. Victims have been rushed to nearby hospitals, where emergency services are treating the wounded.
Security forces and police units responded swiftly, cordoning off the area and launching a comprehensive search and clearance operation.
While no group has claimed responsibility yet, such attacks are often orchestrated by India-backed militant outfits operating under the umbrella of groups like the BLA, BLF, and BRAS—collectively referred to as Fitna al-Hindustan.
These terrorist groups not only target security forces but have also carried out indiscriminate attacks on civilians and critical infrastructure, aiming to destabilise the region and incite unrest.
Over the years, such cowardly acts of terrorism, fuelled by foreign sponsorship and ideology, have claimed thousands of lives in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, disrupting peace and hindering development.
Security agencies continue to pursue and dismantle these networks, reaffirming their resolve to ensure peace across the region.
