In a powerful blow to Indian-sponsored terrorism, Pakistan’s security forces carried out a successful intelligence-based operation in the Sararogha area of South Waziristan, eliminating eleven militants from the banned group Fitna al-Khawarij, a known proxy of Indian intelligence.
Acting on confirmed reports of militant presence, the troops launched a swift and precise offensive. During the intense firefight, seven other Khawarij were critically injured. The operation marks a significant tactical victory in the ongoing war against cross-border terrorism and insurgency.
However, the success came at a heavy cost. Major Syed Moiz Abbas Shah (37), a fearless officer hailing from District Chakwal, was martyred while leading the charge from the front, a testament to his unmatched bravery. Alongside him, Lance Naik Jibran Ullah (27) of District Bannu also embraced martyrdom while defending the nation with honour.
Major Moiz Shah was widely respected for his courage and had played a key role in numerous counter-terrorism operations. His loss has sent ripples of grief across military circles, but also renewed determination.
Following the operation, a sanitization sweep is underway to ensure no remaining khawarij evade justice. Security officials reiterated their commitment: “These sacrifices strengthen our resolve. We will not rest until every last Indian-backed terrorist is wiped off our soil.”
This operation is another stark reminder of the ongoing hybrid war being waged against Pakistan, and the high price its defenders are willing to pay to protect their homeland.
