In response to reports of the abduction of workers from a private company, the Dera Ismail Khan Police under the leadership of District Police Officer (DPO) Sajad Ahmad Sahibzada mounted a swift and coordinated operation involving Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) units and district police strike teams.
According to official sources, large-scale search and strike operations were launched in the Kallachi and Daraban areas, leading to an exchange of fire between law enforcement personnel and the kidnappers. As a result of the successful intervention, five out of the thirteen abducted laborers were recovered safely. The DPO, who is personally commanding the operation, confirmed that the search is ongoing to ensure the safe recovery of the remaining hostages. “We will, God willing, secure the safe return of all the remaining kidnapped workers very soon,” said DPO Sajad Ahmad Sahibzada.
During the course of the ongoing search and strike operation, police also arrested 13 suspects, believed to be facilitators or individuals linked to the terrorist hideouts in the region, according to a spokesperson of Dera Police. Authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to continue the crackdown until all kidnapped individuals are safely reunited with their families and the perpetrators are brought to justice.
