Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Bannu district on the night of April 23 and 24, following confirmed reports regarding the presence of terrorists in the area, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Friday.
During the operation, troops effectively engaged the location of the militants. Following a heavy exchange of fire, six Khwarij were killed, while four others sustained injuries.
A follow-up sanitization operation is currently underway to ensure the elimination of any remaining threats in the area. The ISPR reiterated that Pakistan’s security forces remain resolute in their commitment to eliminating terrorism and restoring peace and stability across the country.
