In a significant blow to terrorist networks operating in Balochistan, security forces successfully eliminated six militants affiliated with the banned Indian-backed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), also designated by the US as a Foreign Terrorist Organisation (FTO) and declared by Pakistan as Fitna al-Hindustan.
According to security sources, a well-coordinated operation was conducted in Dalbandin, Balochistan, targeting the core structure of Fitna al-Hindustan. The militants, who were hiding in mountain caves, were under continuous aerial surveillance. When the appropriate moment arrived, security forces launched a precise and effective strike, killing all six terrorists.
“The success of this operation reflects excellent coordination and communication between the security forces and intelligence agencies,” stated security officials.
This operation underscores ongoing, effective measures by Pakistan’s security forces to restore peace and stability to Balochistan by dismantling terrorist infrastructures.
Field Marshal Asim Munir: ”Balochistan is Pakistan’s Pride”
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, in his address to participants of the 17th National Workshop Balochistan at GHQ yesterday, called Balochistan the “pride of Pakistan”, the Army Chief emphasized the government’s ongoing efforts to prioritise the province’s development through a people-first approach. He underlined the critical role of youth and civil society in countering negative political narratives and driving sustainable growth.
He strongly condemned Indian-backed anti-state propaganda, branding groups like Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij as enemies of peace. He assured that comprehensive action is underway to eliminate these threats, while reaffirming that any violation of Pakistan’s borders, direct or indirect, will be met with firm response.
The session concluded with a candid Q&A between the COAS and workshop participants.
Counter-Terrorism Successes in Balochistan
In a targeted operation in Sibi district, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) neutralized five militants affiliated with Fitna al-Hindustan in a fierce gunfight. Acting on intelligence, CTD personnel engaged the insurgents who opened fire, but were swiftly countered. Weapons and ammunition were recovered, and the operation showcased law enforcement’s determination to combat militancy in the region.
Severe Blow to BLA in Zehri
In a larger scale intelligence-driven clearance operation in Zehri, Khuzdar district, security forces eliminated six top commanders of the Balochistan Liberation Army (Fitna al-Hindustan). This marks the most substantial loss suffered by the group in recent months.
Zehri has been a hub for insurgent activities, facilitating cross-border attacks aided by foreign handlers. The group had launched multiple deadly assaults on security forces in August and September.
The two-phase operation involved drone surveillance, cutting off BLA’s communications with airborne jammers and swift ground assaults on militant hideouts, killing 14 militants in total and dismantling much of the insurgent network.
Local tribes and civilians have expressed full support for security forces in their ongoing efforts to secure peace and stability in the region.
