Militant groups often portray themselves as the true defenders of Islam or the real voice of their people, but the reality is very different. Organizations like Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), the Hafiz Gul Bahadar group, and other militant factions have manipulated young minds under the banner of “jihad.” While claiming to protect Islam, they have inflicted devastating harm on Muslims themselves—attacking mosques, targeting schools, killing innocent civilians, and destabilizing entire regions.
According to religious scholars, their actions have nothing to do with the teachings of Islam. The religion does not permit the killing of innocents, the destruction of places of worship, or spreading fear and chaos. These groups twist religious concepts and take verses or sayings out of context to mislead the youth. Their violence and bloodshed only serve their own ambitions, not the faith they pretend to defend.
On the other hand, in Balochistan, nationalist militant outfits such as the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) operate under the guise of “freedom” and “rights.” Yet, their methods are no different—spreading terror, attacking teachers, laborers, and security personnel, and turning the land into a battlefield. The mask may be nationalism instead of religion, but the deception remains the same.
Whether cloaked in faith or nationalism, the outcome is identical: militant groups bring only death, destruction, and darkness. Their narratives are poisonous traps for the young generation. It is crucial to unmask these lies and remember that, as religious scholars emphasize, true Islam and genuine service to one’s people lie in peace, education, tolerance, and progress—not in terror and bloodshed.
