Security forces foiled a major terrorist attack in Bajaur by intercepting a vehicle loaded with hundreds of kilograms of explosives, averting a large-scale tragedy, according to security sources. Sources revealed that militants belonging to the Fitna-al-Khawarij network had planned to detonate the explosives-laden vehicle in a densely populated civilian area of Bajaur. The timely and precise action of the security forces prevented what could have been a devastating attack, saving countless innocent lives.
Acting on credible intelligence, security personnel swiftly engaged and destroyed the vehicle before it could reach its intended targe, no loss of life or property was reported among security personnel or civilians.
Initial investigations indicate that the explosives were smuggled into Pakistan from Afghanistan concealed within commercial shipments, highlighting cross-border terrorist facilitation networks that continue to target peace and stability in the region.
