Security Forces Refute Baseless Allegations, Blame Indian-Sponsored Militants for North Waziristan Tragedy: ISPR

Pakistan’s security forces have strongly rejected baseless allegations being circulated in the wake of a tragic incident on May 19 in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan, which led to civilian casualties. Terming the claims as unfounded and misleading, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) described them as part of a deliberate disinformation campaign aimed at undermining the military’s counterterrorism efforts.

According to ISPR, a prompt and thorough investigation into the incident has revealed that the attack was orchestrated and executed by the Indian-sponsored militant group Fitna Al Khwarij. Initial findings point to a clear pattern wherein these externally backed elements continue to exploit civilian populations and urban areas as human shields to carry out their acts of terror.

“These reprehensible tactics are designed to sow mistrust between the local communities and the security forces, but they will not succeed,” the military’s media wing stated. “It is evident that such elements are acting at the behest of their Indian handlers, using terror as a tool to destabilize the region.”

Reaffirming its commitment to the safety and security of citizens, the security forces pledged that those responsible for the inhuman act would be brought to justice. “The resolve of the security forces and the people remains unshaken in the face of these cowardly acts. Together, we will eliminate the scourge of terrorism from our soil,” the statement concluded.
