Security Forces Prevent Terrorist Infiltration Attempt in Kurram

Pakistan’s security forces have successfully foiled a major terrorist movement in the Kurram region, preventing a serious security threat through timely detection and a decisive, coordinated response.

According to operational reports, a group of approximately 40 to 45 terrorists was observed moving within the area. Upon confirmation, security forces initiated an immediate and simultaneous engagement, employing a combination of ground firepower, indirect weapons, and aerial surveillance assets to disrupt and neutralize the hostile movement.

As a result of the operation, terrorists suffered heavy losses. Initial assessments indicate that around 28 to 32 terrorists were hit, with 9 to 11 confirmed killed, while several others sustained critical injuries. Security forces reported no casualties during the engagement.

Following the initial strike, forces conducted sustained actions to deny terrorists any opportunity to escape or regroup. The area was effectively sealed, and clearance operations were launched with the support of specialized troops and continuous aerial surveillance to ensure the complete elimination of remaining threats.

Later the same day, the area was fully sanitized, and no further terrorist movement was detected. Blocking measures were subsequently withdrawn in a controlled manner after confirming the restoration of security. Intelligence channels have been tasked with further verification of terrorist casualties and injuries resulting from the engagement.

The successful operation highlights the effectiveness of Pakistan’s intelligence-led security strategy, rapid response capability, and integrated use of surveillance and firepower. It also reaffirms the security forces’ resolve to deny terrorists freedom of movement and to maintain peace and stability in sensitive regions.
