Security Forces Press On With Drive to Eliminate Khawarij in Bajaur

Security forces have intensified targeted operations against the Khawarij in Bajaur district, acting on confirmed intelligence regarding their presence in Mamond and Loi Mamond tehsils, official sources said on Tuesday. The operations, which are part of the ongoing nationwide counter-terrorism drive, are aimed at dismantling the remaining networks of the group described by authorities as enemies of the state.

According to officials, the intelligence-based actions in Bajaur are being carried out in close coordination with the provincial and local administrations to ensure the safety and convenience of the civilian population. Local elders and community representatives are actively supporting the state’s efforts by providing timely information and standing alongside security personnel during the operations.

The official sources highlighted that the security forces conduct more than 200 intelligence-based operations daily across the country, reflecting the scale and persistence of the campaign to eliminate the Khawarij. These operations target not only active members but also facilitators, hideouts, and logistical support networks associated with the group.

Authorities underscored that the ongoing actions in Bajaur are part of a larger, uncompromising strategy to completely eradicate the Khawarij menace. “The security forces will remain in the field until the last Khawarij is eliminated,” an official source said, reaffirming the state’s commitment to ensuring lasting peace in the region.
