A Frontier Corps (FC) soldier was martyred after Khawarij assailants launched a gun attack on a joint police and FC security checkpost in the Orakzai district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to police sources, the Khawarij opened fire on the security installation during the early hours of the day, triggering a brief exchange of gunfire in which one FC personnel tragically lost his life. The attackers fled the scene immediately after the assault.
In response, police and security forces launched a joint clearance operation across the surrounding areas to track down the fleeing attackers. A search operation remains underway, with enhanced patrols and intelligence efforts deployed to neutralize the perpetrators.
Authorities have reiterated their commitment to eliminating the Khawarij threat and restoring peace in the region, vowing that such acts of violence will not go unanswered.
