In a decisive operation, security forces successfully engaged and neutralized a member of the terrorist networks Fitna-al-Khawarij (FAK) and Fitna-al-Hindustan (FAH) in Hoatabad, Balochistan, underscoring the ongoing commitment to eliminating threats to regional stability.

The engagement took place on January 26, when security personnel confronted armed militants in the Hoatabad area of Balochistan.  Special Operations Task Force (SOTF) teams, arrived at the scene shortly after and confirmed the neutralization of one terrorist. The individual was found carrying a submachine gun with magazine, multiple communication devices including a smart phone and dumb phones, a power bank, an identification card, cash, an ATM card, an Iranian SIM card jacket, and other personal effects. The deceased was reportedly wearing two under-shirts bearing the insignia of FAK and the flag of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan beneath traditional attire, linking him directly to organized terrorist networks operating in the region.

During the operation, two additional armed terrorists were observed near a nearby nullah. Engagement was initiated; however, a malfunction in one of the security personnel’s weapons allowed the remaining individuals to escape on motorcycles. Efforts to identify and apprehend these terrorists are ongoing.

The recovered items, including weapons and materials directly connecting the deceased to FAK and FAH activities, are being processed as part of the broader investigation. Authorities stressed that the operation demonstrates the unwavering resolve of security forces to protect civilians, maintain law and order, and dismantle networks that threaten the safety and stability of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Officials emphasized that terrorist groups such as FAK and FAH target both security forces and the local population, and operations like this are critical in preventing further attacks and safeguarding communities. The Frontier Armed Forces and affiliated security units reaffirmed their commitment to continue operations against all militant networks operating in the region until the threat is fully neutralized.
