Security Forces Neutralise Two Khawarij in Balochistan Operation; Weapons, IED Material Recovered

Security Forces continue to conduct intelligence-based operations against Khawarij elements associated with Fitna al-Hindustan in Balochistan, as part of their sustained efforts to dismantle hostile networks, disrupt their operational infrastructure, and safeguard the lives and property of the people.

According to security sources, an Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) was conducted in the Killi Zaik area of Balochistan following credible information regarding the presence and movement of Khawarij in the vicinity.

The operation was launched in the area between Killi Zaik and Kaghli, approximately 12 kilometres north of Baseema Camp, after reports indicated the presence of Khawarij elements in the area. During the operation, Security Forces encountered the Khawarij, resulting in an exchange of fire. In the ensuing engagement, two Khawarij were neutralised, while three others were injured.

The successful action represents another significant operational achievement in the ongoing effort to identify and dismantle Khawarij elements operating in remote areas of Balochistan. Security Forces maintained effective control of the area throughout the operation and continued necessary clearance and search measures following the engagement.

According to security sources, one of the Khawarij neutralised during the operation was identified as Mushtaq Ahmed, alias Koh Yar. The identification of the individual is expected to assist in further understanding the network and operational activities of Khawarij elements active in the area. The recovery of material from the site also provides important evidence regarding the preparations and intended activities of the Khawarij operating in the region.

Following the operation, Security Forces recovered a significant quantity of ammunition, magazines, hand grenades, and material used for the preparation of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) from the Khawarij. The recovery of IED-making material is particularly significant, as it demonstrates the potential threat posed by the group to civilians, security personnel, and public infrastructure. The seizure of weapons and explosive-related material has further disrupted the Khawarij’s operational capabilities and prevented the recovered equipment from being used in future acts of violence.

The successful operation highlights the importance of timely intelligence and sustained surveillance in identifying Khawarij presence in difficult and remote areas. Security Forces remain fully vigilant and continue to monitor the movement and activities of Khawarij elements across Balochistan. Intelligence-based operations are being conducted to prevent hostile elements from establishing safe havens, organizing their networks, or preparing attacks against the local population and security personnel.

The latest action is part of the broader campaign to dismantle Khawarij networks and eliminate their operational infrastructure from the province.
