Security forces neutralised four terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in the Klottai area of Birmal tehsil in Lower South Waziristan, officials confirmed.
The operation was launched on credible intelligence regarding the presence of armed militants inside a residential compound. As the security forces cordoned off the location, the terrorists opened fire, leading to a fierce exchange of gunfire.
Four terrorists were neutralised in the encounter, while two security personnel sustained minor injuries due to crossfire.
The operation concluded with the successful clearance and securing of the area by the security forces.
