In a fierce exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists of Fitna al-Khawarij (TTP) in Central Kurram’s Khyber Wali Nallah area, two terrorists were killed and three others injured. The deceased terrorists were found carrying bags labeled with the words “NDRF India,” raising suspicions of foreign involvement.
This encounter follows a series of intelligence-based operations on the nights of September 13 and 14, where security forces eliminated a total of 31 militants in Lakki Marwat and Bannu districts. In Lakki Marwat, 14 Khawarij were killed during a gun battle, while in Bannu, acting on a secret tip-off, forces successfully targeted and neutralized 17 terrorists at their hideouts.
These coordinated operations demonstrate a sustained crackdown against militants in the region, with security agencies intensifying efforts to dismantle terrorist networks.
