Khyber district: Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Bara, targeting terrorist hideouts in Aka Khel, Mada Khel, and Meri Nehar Ghara, according to security sources.
During the operation, 9 to 10 terrorists were killed and injured in a targeted engagement. The area has been cordoned off, and clearance operations are ongoing to eliminate any remaining elements.
The action comes amid a broader nationwide counterterrorism push. Recent operations in Balochistan have already inflicted significant losses on the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), with multiple terrorists eliminated, injured, and arrested across several districts.
Security officials say the continuation of intelligence-led operations reflects a sustained effort to dismantle terrorist networks, deny them safe movement, and prevent any regrouping across regions.
