Security forces successfully repelled a terrorist attack on their post in North Waziristan, killing one terrorist and injuring four others, while several others fled the area leaving behind their weapons, according to sources.
Sources said the terrorists launched an assault on the security post from multiple directions, using heavy weapons and rocket launchers. The security forces responded swiftly and effectively, targeting the assailants with precision fire.
As a result of the exchange, one terrorist was killed on the spot, four sustained injuries, while several others managed to escape, abandoning their weapons during the retreat. The area has been declared fully secure by the security forces. Meanwhile, aerial and ground surveillance continues to ensure that no suspicious activity re-emerges in the vicinity, the sources added.
