In a high-stakes intelligence-based operation, Pakistan’s security forces successfully neutralized two members of Fitna al-Khawarij associated with the notorious Tipu Gul Marwat group in the Paharkhel Pakka area of Lakki Marwat. Two additional Khawarij operatives sustained serious injuries and fled under cover of darkness. The operation was launched on actionable intelligence confirming the presence of the Tipu Gul-led Khawarij cell—an emerging threat responsible for orchestrating subversive activities across southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. As troops moved in, a fierce exchange of fire erupted, culminating in the elimination of two hardcore Khawarij militants.
Security officials confirmed that the injured operatives managed to escape but were critically wounded. A cordon-and-search operation is underway to ensure their capture and dismantle any remaining hideouts in the vicinity.
“This successful strike is part of a broader, uncompromising campaign to uproot all factions of Fitna al-Khawarij and their facilitators operating under regional warlords like Tipu Gul,” a senior security official said, adding that no effort will be spared in purging the region of these foreign-backed extremists.
The operation underscores the resolve of Pakistan’s armed forces to protect national security against all threats, especially the Khawarij who seek to destabilize the country through violence and ideological subversion.
