Security forces conducted a swift and successful operation in the Dasht area of Turbat, Balochistan, on Monday, killing two Fitna al-Hindustan (FAH) terrorists, including a key commander of the banned Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), identified as Ateeq Miran.
According to security sources, surveillance cameras recorded a group of 7–8 armed men attempting to set up an illegal checkpoint on the M-8 highway on September 16, intercepting and stopping civilian vehicles.
A Quick Reaction Force (QRF) was immediately dispatched to the area. The ensuing encounter took place near Kanchati Cross, where a brief but intense exchange of fire resulted in the deaths of two militants. One of the deceased was confirmed to be Ateeq Miran, a known figure within the BLF’s operational hierarchy.
During the post-operation sweep, security personnel recovered two submachine guns (SMGs), a 9mm pistol, two Motorola communication sets, a motorcycle, and a dagger from the site.
Security officials hailed the timely response as a decisive blow to the militants’ plans, stating that the operation successfully neutralized a potential threat to public safety and regional stability.
