Security forces achieved a major success in the Domel area of Bannu where an intelligence based operation led to the elimination of 15 militants, while several others were reportedly injured. The action was conducted on the basis of highly sensitive and credible information.
According to initial reports, earlier today security forces received confirmed intelligence about the presence of a large group of militants in the Jani Khel area of Bannu. Acting swiftly, forces carried out a targeted and effective operation during which 15 terrorists were killed.
The militants had taken shelter inside a building located near a populated locality. Security forces ensured that the operation was executed with precision and no civilian casualties occurred. Pakistan Army, CTD and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police are conducting joint operations in Bannu to eliminate militant networks.
The people of Pakistan and the country’s security institutions remain united in their resolve to end terrorism completely and these operations will continue until the last militant is neutralised.
