Security Forces Dismantle Illegal BLA Checkpoint in Bolan, Foil Terrorist Activity

Security forces have successfully neutralized an illegal checkpoint established by militants linked to the proscribed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) in the Bolan district, thwarting a serious threat to public safety and restoring normalcy in the area.

According to official sources, the unauthorized checkpoint was being used by armed militants to stop vehicles, loot travelers, and harass civilians, creating fear and disruption along a key route. Upon receiving intelligence about the activity, security forces launched a swift and decisive operation to protect civilians and prevent further harm.

During the operation, security personnel engaged the militants, resulting in the elimination of two terrorists. As pressure mounted, the remaining militants attempted to escape by using civilians as human shields an act widely condemned by security officials as a blatant violation of humanitarian norms. Despite these tactics, security forces exercised restraint to ensure civilian safety while continuing the clearance operation.

As a result of the timely response, major losses were averted, and the area has now been successfully cleared. Security forces have established control over the vicinity and initiated follow-up checks to ensure no residual threats remain.

Officials emphasized that security forces remain on high alert across the region and are fully committed to safeguarding the lives, property, and freedom of movement of citizens. “Any attempt to disrupt peace or target civilians will be met with a firm and lawful response,” an official statement said.

The operation reflects the continued resolve of security forces to counter terrorism, dismantle illegal armed activities, and maintain stability in Balochistan, while prioritizing the protection of innocent civilians.
