Security forces carried out a successful intelligence-based operation in the Dasht area of Kharan, neutralising five terrorists affiliated with the proscribed Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), also referred to as Fitna al-Hindustan. The operation marks a significant achievement in ongoing efforts to dismantle terrorist networks operating in the region.
According to security officials, credible intelligence was obtained regarding the movement of a group of BLA terrorists traveling between Kanu Valley and Omar Dhore in Dasht, Kharan. Acting swiftly on the information, security forces established a well-coordinated ambush to intercept the militants before they could execute any hostile activity.
The ambush was executed with precision, resulting in the elimination of all five terrorists present at the location. Their identities are being verified, and initial assessments suggest they were involved in multiple acts of violence, targeted attacks, and subversive activities aimed at destabilising the region.
Officials noted that the operation reflects the unwavering commitment of security forces to ensuring peace and stability in Balochistan. The successful interception also underscores the effectiveness of recent intelligence coordination, which has enhanced the ability to pre-empt and disrupt terrorist movement across sensitive areas.
The security forces reaffirmed that operations against militant groups will continue with full force until all threats to national security are neutralised. Efforts are underway to trace the wider network associated with the eliminated terrorists, and follow-up actions are expected based on the intelligence recovered from the site.
