Security forces have successfully cleared five areas in Bajaur from Khawarij elements, restoring complete state control and enabling the safe return of displaced families, the district administration said on Monday.
According to the Bajaur administration, the cleared localities include Serei Kalan, Serei Miyangan, Landai Kalan, Bilal Masjid Tarkho, and Shamsher Gar Qilla Tarkho. Officials confirmed that normalcy has returned to these areas and the writ of the state has been fully re-established.
The administration further stated that residents of the cleared areas are now free to return to their homes, with the assurance that the state will provide them full protection and necessary support. It added that the phased repatriation of families from other affected parts of Bajaur will also be completed in due course.
It may be recalled that security forces launched a targeted operation in Bajaur a few days ago against the Khawarij, during which the aforementioned localities were brought back under state authority.
