Security Forces has taken firm control of 19 Afghan border posts in a series of powerful and precise retaliatory strikes following unprovoked aggression by Afghan forces along multiple sectors of the Pakistan-Afghanistan frontier. The positions, used to launch attacks on Pakistani territory, were swiftly neutralized as Pakistani troops unleashed a decisive response marked by exceptional accuracy and force.
According to PTV News, the targeted Afghan posts were among those from where Pakistan had come under indiscriminate fire in areas including Chitral, Bajaur, Mohmand, Kurram, Angoor Adda, and Balochistan’s Baramcha. Videos released by state media show Afghan positions engulfed in flames and Afghan troops surrendering to Pakistani forces in Kurram after suffering devastating losses.
Security sources confirmed that a large number of Afghan Taliban personnel deployed along the border were killed, while others fled in panic, abandoning their dead and injured. The Pakistan Army employed artillery, tanks, drones, and aerial assets in a series of coordinated strikes that destroyed multiple Afghan posts and terror sanctuaries operating under their cover.
Military officials said that the operations were carried out with precision to ensure that only hostile targets were engaged. “Our troops responded with overwhelming force, eliminating the source of aggression and silencing every gun that fired across the border,” a senior security source stated. “Those attempting to shelter or assist terrorists paid the price for their actions.”
Security reports indicated that hideouts of Khawarij and Daesh militants operating under the patronage of Afghanistan’s interim administration were also effectively struck. These included terrorist command nodes and logistics centers along the frontier, from where cross-border attacks had been orchestrated in recent months.
The Afghan forces had initiated unprovoked fire on Pakistani border posts, targeting civilian areas in violation of international law and established border norms. The Pakistan Army’s immediate and resolute response not only repelled the aggression but also dismantled key strongholds used by militants to infiltrate Pakistani territory.
Footage aired by PTV News and Radio Pakistan displayed intense retaliatory shelling and destruction of Afghan positions, with plumes of smoke rising from the demolished posts. According to field reports, several Afghan positions that attempted to provide covering fire to militant groups were completely neutralized, and their occupants eliminated.
Security sources further revealed that infiltration attempts in Pishin and Zhob were foiled, with Pakistani troops maintaining full control over the frontier. The operation continues to ensure that no terrorist safe haven remains operational across the border.
Pakistan’s security establishment reiterated that its actions were purely defensive, taken in response to persistent cross-border aggression and to safeguard the nation’s sovereignty. “Pakistan will not allow its soil to be targeted with impunity,” a senior security official asserted. “Every act of hostility will be met with a response so decisive that no adversary will dare repeat it.”
The Pakistan Army remains fully prepared to defend every inch of the country’s territory and continues to eliminate threats emanating from across the border with precision, resolve, and absolute dominance.
