Security agencies have issued a high alert ahead of the start of the New Year 2026, citing potential threats linked to banned outfits.
According to sources, there are concerns that outlawed organizations may attempt to cause harm under various pretexts, including the delivery of gifts. Intelligence reports warn that such suspicious gifts could be transported in vehicles to sensitive locations, particularly main gates and check posts, and may be presented under the pretense of being addressed to a specific officer.
Security authorities have directed all post commanders, check posts, and main gate headquarters not to receive any suspicious gifts or items and to exercise complete caution. Officials said security measures have been further tightened, with strict instructions to closely monitor any suspicious activity and immediately report any unusual situation to senior authorities.
