Executive Director of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation’s Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (SCO-RATS), Major General Olarbek Sharshiyev, called on Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), both sides discussed the evolving regional security situation and measures to enhance cooperation in the field of counterterrorism.
The ISPR added that General Sahir Shamshad Mirza appreciated the SCO’s efforts to strengthen regional collaboration against terrorism and reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to sustainable peace at both regional and global levels.
The distinguished guest lauded the professionalism of Pakistan’s Armed Forces and acknowledged their sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
