Rivalry Within Banned Terror Groups Explodes Into Bloodshed in Tirah Valley

At least four terrorists affiliated with a proscribed militant organization were killed following a violent armed clash between two banned groups in the remote Tirah Valley of Khyber District, according to security sources.

Sources confirmed that the confrontation erupted in the Koila Markaz area, where members of the outlawed Jamaat-ul-Ahrar and the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) engaged in a heated dispute over territorial control and operational authority. The argument reportedly escalated into an exchange of gunfire between the rival factions.

As a result of the clash, four terrorists belonging to the banned Jamaat-ul-Ahrar were killed on the spot. The deceased have been identified as Salman, Dawana, Saqi, and Tayyab.

According to sources, the bodies of the slain militants were found lying unattended in front of Koila Markaz, highlighting the intensity of the confrontation and the breakdown of coordination among the outlawed groups operating in the area.

Security officials stated that internal rifts and power struggles among militant factions have increasingly led to violent infighting, weakening their command structures and exposing deep divisions within their ranks. Such clashes, they added, are often driven by disputes over control of resources, movement routes, and influence in strategically sensitive regions.

Authorities are closely monitoring the situation, while security forces remain vigilant to prevent any further escalation and to ensure that the overall law and order situation in the region remains under control.

The incident underscores the continued instability faced by militant networks and reflects the impact of sustained pressure by security forces, which has significantly disrupted their operational cohesion.
