RAW-Backed Terror Network Busted in Punjab as CTD Launches Major Crackdown

In a landmark counterterrorism operation, the Punjab Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has dismantled a sophisticated terror network allegedly operated with direct support from India’s intelligence agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), arresting six key facilitators from multiple districts and thwarting major terrorist attacks. Under the banner of Operation Yalghaar, CTD teams conducted intelligence-based raids across Punjab, unearthing a network accused of orchestrating sabotage missions on Pakistani soil. Explosive materials and detonators were recovered during a raid in Toba Tek Singh, while a RAW-linked operative receiving foreign terror financing from Dubai was apprehended in Bahawalpur, said a CTD spokesperson.

In a startling revelation, two suspects were arrested in Bahawalnagar for allegedly acquiring improvised explosive devices (IEDs) directly from India’s Border Security Force (BSF). These individuals were reportedly tasked with delivering the devices to operatives for attacks inside Pakistan.

“The network had planned to target a mosque and the railway station in Bahawalpur,” the spokesperson disclosed. “These heinous plots were foiled through timely intelligence and decisive action by CTD personnel.”

The spokesperson further revealed that audio intercepts of senior RAW officers—identified as Major Ravindra Rathore and Inspector Singh—had been obtained, exposing direct operational involvement in funding and coordinating terror activities within Pakistan.

“This is irrefutable proof of India’s subversive agenda and its use of proxy elements to destabilize Pakistan,” the CTD spokesperson stated, emphasizing that Operation Yalghaar would continue until the entire network is neutralized.

The CTD reaffirmed its resolve to root out all foreign-sponsored threats to national security and called on citizens to remain vigilant and support the fight against terrorism.
