Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Honours Martyrs of the Battle for Truth, Reaffirms State’s Commitment to Their Families

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif  paid a profound tribute to the martyrs of the Battle for Truth, vowing that the nation will never forget the heroes who laid down their lives to defend Pakistan’s sovereignty and honour. He said the fallen soldiers of the Pakistan Armed Forces fulfilled their sacred duty with unmatched courage and that the state remains firmly committed to upholding their legacy and supporting their families.

“The martyrs of the nation are our eternal pride,” the Prime Minister said. “They did not allow even the slightest harm to come to Pakistan’s sovereignty. We have not forgotten them—nor will we ever forget them.”

According to media, the Prime Minister said the entire nation stands with the families of the martyrs, who will never be left alone. “It is the responsibility of the state to care for the families of those who made the ultimate sacrifice,” he said. “We are a peace-loving nation, but we know how to respond to aggression.”

A day earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had announced a wide-ranging set of benefits to honour the sacrifices of the martyrs and provide long-term support to their families. Under the announced provisions, heirs of the martyred personnel will receive financial compensation ranging from Rs. 10 million to Rs. 18 million, depending on rank. Housing support of Rs. 19 million to Rs. 42 million will also be provided.

The full salary and allowances of each martyred soldier will continue to be paid to their families until the date of their scheduled retirement. Additionally, children of martyrs will receive free education up to the graduation level.

The provisions also include a marriage grant of Rs. 1 million for the wedding of one daughter of each martyr.

The Prime Minister said the nation’s gratitude to its martyrs is boundless, and the state will continue to honour their sacrifices not only through words, but with resolute action and enduring support.
