President Asif Ali Zardari has said that the National Security Committee (NSC) has truly represented the aspirations of the Pakistani nation in response to India’s baseless allegations and actions following the Pahalgam incident, adding that all decisions taken by the committee resonate with the voice of the people.
The President made these remarks during a meeting with Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who called on him to provide a detailed briefing on India’s irresponsible conduct after the Pahalgam episode. The minister also apprised the President of the decisions taken by the National Security Committee and the retaliatory measures initiated by Pakistan.
President Zardari appreciated the NSC’s timely, swift, and farsighted response to the evolving situation and said the entire nation stood firmly behind the committee’s decisions. “The National Security Committee has embodied the collective will of the Pakistani people. There is absolutely no justification for India’s baseless allegations and illogical actions,” he said.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, during the meeting, emphasise that the enemy should remain under no illusion—Pakistan’s defense is, by the grace of Almighty Allah, impregnable.
It is worth mentioning that the National Security Committee, in its session held yesterday, responded strongly to India’s provocative actions. The committee ordered an immediate halt to all land trade with India and imposed a ban on Indian aircraft from using Pakistani airspace.
Additionally, the NSC declared all Indian diplomatic staff currently stationed in Pakistan as persona non grata and ordered them to leave the country.
