In a powerful display of national unity, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal General Asim Munir hosted a high-level reception in honour of the country’s political and military leadership, attended by President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, the services chiefs, and other senior officials.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the gathering underscored a shared commitment to national resilience amid hybrid threats and ongoing disinformation campaigns. Field Marshal Munir praised the political leadership for its far-sightedness during a defining moment in the nation’s history, calling it a decisive factor in the triumph of truth.
He commended the youth of Pakistan and the media for their steadfast role in countering disinformation and safeguarding the national narrative. “Our young generation and responsible media have stood as the first line of defence in the information domain,” said the Army Chief.
The participants paid rich tribute to the bravery, sacrifices, and unyielding spirit of the armed forces. Field Marshal Munir particularly emphasised the seamless coordination among the services, describing the Pakistan Armed Forces as a “unified, impregnable structure.”
He also lauded the vital contributions of Pakistani scientists, engineers, and diplomats, stating, “Their silent dedication and excellence continue to fortify Pakistan’s strategic standing and global engagement.”
The event reflected a strong message of cohesion, clarity of purpose, and unwavering resolve in the face of evolving challenges, reinforcing the military and political leadership’s joint vision for a secure, progressive, and sovereign Pakistan.
