Regional Police Officer (RPO) Bannu, Sajad Khan, held a high-level jirga with tribal elders from Tehsil Domel at the DIG Office Bannu on Tuesday, reaffirming the police’s commitment to ensuring peace and security through community partnership. Senior police officials were also in attendance.
The jirga was convened to assess the prevailing law and order situation, address public concerns, and strengthen ties between law enforcement and tribal leadership in the region. Tribal elders spoke candidly about challenges facing their communities, including rising crime, social issues, and security threats. RPO Sajad Khan listened attentively and assured them that police would leave no stone unturned in maintaining a peaceful and secure environment for all citizens.
“Enduring peace is only possible through mutual trust and cooperation between the police and the people,” said RPO Sajad Khan, adding that the tribal elders’ leadership and support remain pivotal in curbing crime and promoting harmony.
He further emphasized that community engagement was not just a strategy but a necessity for sustainable peace in the region.
