In a major breakthrough against terrorism, Charsadda Police, acting on credible intelligence, apprehended three key facilitators of a banned militant outfit during a successful operation in Shabqadar. The operation was conducted under the directives of District Police Officer Suleman Zafar and the direct supervision of DSP Shabqadar Riaz Khan.
The arrested individuals, who maintained active telephonic communication with senior leadership based in Afghanistan, were identified as:
1. Asif Ali alias Ansari, son of Shah Nawaz, resident of Thana Battagram Korona, Charsadda
2. Muhammad Huzaifa alias Buzurg alias Fateh, son of Muhammad Sarfaraz, resident of Mohalla Chishti Abad, Mata Mughal Khel, Shabqadar
3. Salman alias Waqas, son of Ghulamullah, resident of Mohmand Gandhab Yousaf Khel, presently residing in Mansuka, Shabqadar
Following their arrest, a follow-up search operation was launched in the Sarokali Police Station limits, leading to the recovery of a large cache of sophisticated weapons and explosive materials. The seized items include:
4 Rocket Shells (107mm)
1 Artillery Shell
5 RPG-7 Rounds
8 Hand Grenades
1 75RR Weapon Stand
1 Light Machine Gun (LMG)
30 feet of Prima Cord
The timely action not only thwarted a potential terror plot but also dealt a significant blow to militant logistics in the region.
