In a timely and intelligence-led operation, Tangi Police in Charsadda successfully foiled a major sabotage plan and recovered heavy weaponry concealed for terrorist activities, demonstrating their continued commitment to maintaining peace and public safety in the district.
According to police sources, Tangi Police received credible intelligence indicating that unidentified saboteurs had buried heavy arms and ammunition in the area of Dot Sitara, located near a kacha abadí inhabited by underprivileged Afghan refugees. The concealed weapons were reportedly intended for use in subversive and terrorist activities at any time.
Acting swiftly on the information, a search operation was launched under the leadership of DSP Tangi, Mr. Gulshaid Khan, and supervised by SHO Tangi, Mr. Naushirwan Khan. The Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU) was immediately summoned to ensure safe handling of any explosive or hazardous material.
