Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday strongly condemned Afghanistan’s unprovoked aggression along Pakistan’s border regions, praising the Pakistan Army for its swift, decisive, and professional response that destroyed multiple Afghan posts and forced the aggressors into retreat.
In a strongly worded statement, the Prime Minister said the entire nation takes immense pride in the courage and professional excellence of its armed forces, which once again proved their unmatched capability under the bold leadership of the Field Marshal.
“Pakistan will never compromise on its sovereignty and defence,” the Prime Minister declared. “Every act of provocation will be met with a firm, powerful, and effective response. Our defence is in capable hands, and we know how to protect every inch of our motherland.”
He said the Pakistan Army has always given a crushing reply to every form of external aggression, reaffirming that the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its security forces in defending the country’s borders.
Shehbaz Sharif also cautioned that terrorist groups operating inside Afghanistan continue to receive support from certain elements there. He said Pakistan has repeatedly provided the Afghan authorities with credible intelligence regarding the presence of fitna al-khawarij and fitna al-Hindustan—terror outfits using Afghan soil to orchestrate attacks against Pakistan.
Expressing hope for regional peace, the Prime Minister urged the Afghan government to ensure that its territory is not used for any hostile activity against Pakistan, reiterating that while Islamabad seeks stability and good relations, it will respond with full force to any act that endangers its national security or sovereignty.
