Tank District: Following the strong support seen in South Waziristan Lower and Dera Ismail Khan, the people of Tank have now stepped forward to back security forces in the ongoing fight against terrorism.
In the Manzai area, a significant jirga (tribal council) was held between the Commandant of Gomal Scouts and elders of the Dotani tribe. The gathering focused on the current security situation and the challenges faced by the region.
The Commandant highlighted the crucial role of the local community in countering terrorism and stressed the need to exert social pressure on militants and their facilitators. He urged locals to actively support peace efforts for a stable and secure future.
The tribal elders pledged full cooperation with security forces and expressed their firm resolve to take every possible step for the establishment of lasting peace in the area.
This marks another encouraging sign of growing public solidarity with security efforts, following similar commitments made recently in South Waziristan Lower and D.I. Khan.
