Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry emphasized Pakistan’s resolute measures against terrorism and extremist elements, affirming that the nation’s armed forces and citizens would stand as an “unbreakable wall” against any act of aggression.
Lieutenant General Chaudhry made these remarks during an interactive session with faculty and students from several universities and religious seminaries in Mardan, including Abdul Wali Khan University, Women University, University of Engineering and Technology, and various local madrassas.
The session focused on critical national issues, including Pakistan’s ongoing counter-terrorism efforts, the recent Pakistan-Afghanistan tensions, and the country’s overall security situation. DG ISPR highlighted the sacrifices made by the armed forces in safeguarding the nation and underscored the importance of public awareness regarding threats posed by anti-state elements, particularly those spreading propaganda on social media.
“The nation has witnessed effective measures taken against terrorism and extremist groups. Pakistan’s armed forces and its people will prove to be a solid and steadfast wall against any enemy aggression,” Lieutenant General Chaudhry stated.
Faculty members praised the session, noting that it helped dispel misconceptions about the military and strengthened their appreciation for the armed forces’ role in ensuring national security and supporting development initiatives.
Students expressed solidarity with the armed forces, asserting that the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are committed to standing shoulder to shoulder with the military to safeguard national stability. They also recognized the sacrifices made by the Pakistan Armed Forces to protect the country from various threats and vowed to support the forces in every possible way.
The interactive session concluded on a note of mutual respect, highlighting the shared responsibility of citizens and armed forces in protecting Pakistan’s sovereignty and promoting peace and stability across the region.
