Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb Ahmad has recently become the most searched personality in Pakistan on Google. According to Google Trends, on the night of May 12th, the search trend for “Aurangzeb” hit its peak, becoming the highest point of the week.
Since then, public interest in him has remained high, clearly reflecting his rising popularity. The PAF Air Vice Marshal’s popularity on social media is largely attributed to his engaging communication style, professional expertise, and humorous approach during a recent news briefing.
In a viral video clip, Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb was heard saying, “I’ll pick up where I left off the other day” — referring to the PAF’s triumph over the Indian Air Force (IAF) with a score of 6-0. This statement came in the context of the destruction of six Indian aircraft by the Pakistan Air Force, which included 3 Rafale jets, 1 SU-30, 1 MiG-29, and a drone.
Aurangzeb explained that PAF launched “Operation Bunyian Marsous” in the early hours of May 6th and 7th as a retaliatory response to Indian airstrikes that had killed numerous Pakistani civilians, including women, children, and the elderly.
He also revealed that for the first time since 1971, the Pakistan Air Force had targeted such a large number of Indian airbases. He assured that extreme caution was taken during the attacks, with civilian infrastructure being spared.
Interestingly, in India, the most searched term was “Ceasefire meaning,” which was searched more than 10 million times, reflecting the intense public interest in the ongoing situation.
