A grand event was held in Denmark by the Pakistani and Kashmiri community to express solidarity with the Armed Forces of Pakistan and to mark a Day of Gratitude, celebrating what was described as a victory against Indian aggression.
The event was jointly organized by Babar Khan, President of EU-Pak Friendship Federation Denmark, Ameer Mukhtar Naqvi, Acting President of Pakistan Civil Society Denmark, and Chaudhry Afzal of Dhal.
Attended by a large number of Pakistanis and Kashmiris residing in Denmark, the celebration reflected a spirit of national pride. Women, children, and prominent figures from political, social, religious, business, and philanthropic circles participated in the gathering.
Chairman of EU-Pak Friendship Federation Europe, Dr Chaudhry Pervez Iqbal Lohsar, recipient of the Presidential Award Tamgha-e-Khidmat, attended the event as the chief guest. The event also featured Mian Munir as a special guest. A symbolic cake-cutting ceremony was held to commemorate what was described as Pakistan’s significant military achievement.
The venue echoed with patriotic slogans such as “Long Live Pakistan” and “Long Live the Armed Forces of Pakistan,” while attendees danced to national songs in celebration. Chants in support of Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir and the Pakistan Air Force reverberated through the streets of Denmark. Notably, members of the Danish public and other communities showed solidarity with the Pakistani community by making victory signs and joining in the celebrations.
In a rare show of unity, representatives of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan Muslim League-Q, Pakistan Muslim League-N, and the Pakistan Peoples Party jointly participated in the celebrations for the first time.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Pervez Iqbal Lohsar stated, “Our brave forces have responded to Indian aggression with unparalleled courage and sacrifice. This act of valor will be recorded in history in golden words.”
The event underscored the unwavering support of the overseas Pakistani and Kashmiri communities for the Armed Forces of Pakistan and their commitment to national solidarity.
