Pakistani Forces Foil Attack in Chaman, Multiple Khawarij Neutralized

As part of the ongoing Operation Ghazab Lil Haq, Pakistani security forces successfully intercepted and repelled an attempted assault by members of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Afghanistan (TTA) in the New Largo area of Chaman, Balochistan. The preemptive response by alert troops prevented a potential attack on a key security installation, averting casualties and infrastructure damage.

According to official sources, TTA Khawarij had gathered in front of a strategic Mini Fort with apparent intentions to launch an offensive. Pakistani troops on heightened alert identified the threat immediately and engaged with decisive force, employing coordinated defensive measures to neutralize the attackers. The engagement resulted in the confirmed deaths of eight to ten Khawarij, while the remaining TTA operatives reportedly fled the scene in disarray.

Security officials emphasized that this incident underscores the continued vigilance and operational readiness of Pakistani forces deployed in Balochistan. The swift response reflects rigorous intelligence gathering, rapid decision-making, and tactical coordination designed to counter terrorist activity and safeguard civilian and military assets.

The operation forms part of a broader, ongoing campaign aimed at dismantling terrorist infrastructure, disrupting planning and logistics networks, and ensuring regional stability. Authorities reaffirmed that counterterrorism operations will continue until all Khawarij threats are neutralized and secure conditions are reestablished.

Officials have called upon local communities to remain vigilant and to report suspicious activity, stressing that public cooperation is critical to the success of security efforts in the region. Continuous monitoring, intelligence collection, and rapid response remain central pillars of Pakistan’s counterterrorism strategy.
