We value the constructive role played by the United States, along with other friendly nations, in facilitating the recent understanding on a ceasefire between Pakistan and India—a positive step toward de-escalation and regional stability.
We also appreciate President Trump’s expressed willingness to support efforts aimed at resolving the Jammu and Kashmir dispute. This longstanding issue remains central to peace and security in South Asia and carries implications far beyond the region. Pakistan reaffirms its position that a just and lasting resolution must be in line with the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions and must ensure the Kashmiri people’s fundamental rights, including their inalienable right to self-determination.
