Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar has instructed Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations to take immediate steps to convene a session of the UN Security Council (UNSC), amid escalating regional tensions.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Pakistan will formally brief the UNSC on India’s recent aggressive actions, provocative rhetoric, and unlawful attempts to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty.
The briefing will underscore the threat posed by India’s behavior to the peace and security of South Asia and beyond. Pakistan’s initiative is part of a broader diplomatic effort to present the truth to the international community and counter India’s destabilizing moves.
