Pakistan’s security and law enforcement agencies shot down multiple Indian spy drones in Punjab on Wednesday, foiling fresh acts of aerial espionage by India amid a rapidly deteriorating regional security environment following unprovoked Indian aggression.
In Lahore, an Indian drone was intercepted and downed by police near Walton Road using state-of-the-art jamming technology. According to Dawn News, the drone—measuring between five to six feet—was being operated from across the border and had intruded near sensitive installations adjacent to Lahore Airport. Officials confirmed the aircraft was on a surveillance mission and was successfully neutralized without incident.
Hours later in Gujranwala, police recovered the wreckage of another drone from the fields of Pir Jhanda village. Authorities have seized the debris and launched a formal investigation into its origin and purpose. Initial findings suggest it was part of a coordinated effort to infiltrate Pakistani airspace for intelligence-gathering.
In Chakwal’s Dohman area, yet another Indian spy drone crashed into farmlands and was immediately secured by local police and Pakistan Air Force (PAF) experts. Security forces swiftly sealed the area and began forensic examination of the downed aircraft. No casualties were reported, though eyewitnesses recounted hearing abnormal sounds before the crash—suggesting high-altitude jamming or mechanical failure following interception.
The repeated drone intrusions reflect a desperate and reckless attempt by India to violate Pakistan’s sovereignty at a time when tensions are at a boiling point. These hostile acts come in the wake of India’s cowardly night-time attack on civilian areas in Pakistan between May 6 and 7, following the April 22 incident in Pahalgam which New Delhi baselessly blamed on Islamabad.
In response to India’s brazen military provocation, Pakistan’s Armed Forces launched a precise and crushing retaliation, shooting down five Indian warplanes, including three Rafale jets, and destroying a brigade headquarters and multiple frontline posts. Reports confirmed that Indian forces at the Line of Control’s Chura Complex raised white flags in surrender—an act of humiliation marking a decisive Pakistani victory.
