Pakistan’s security forces successfully neutralised the remaining attackers involved in the assault on Cadet College Wana in South Waziristan, eliminating all threats to the institution. According to security sources, apart from one suicide bomber, the operation resulted in the elimination of four additional militants.
The sources confirmed that the college building was cleared carefully due to the risk of planted explosives. “During the successful operation, not a single student or staff member was harmed, while all attackers involved in the assault were killed,” the officials stated.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the attack was planned from Afghanistan, as the assailants were in continuous contact with their handlers across the border. Pakistani security agencies remain vigilant in ensuring that such threats are fully neutralised and that students and staff are protected from harm.
